
What is Physical Therapy?
Pediatric physical therapists evaluate and provide treatment for children who have delays in motor skills, by developing the strength and range of motion that children need to move through their environment easily and effectively.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY CHILD NEEDS PHYSICAL THERAPY?

□ Does your child have difficulty tolerating tummy time?
□ Does your child struggle to sit or stand without support?
□ Does your child have difficulty with crawling or walking?
□ Is your child often clumsy?
□ Does your child have a hard time catching or throwing a ball?
□ Does your child struggle to learn how to jump, skip, ride a bike or play sports?
□ Does your child consistently walk on his/her toes?
□ Does your child have difficulty alternating feet when ascending and descending stairs?
□ Does your child display difficulty with balance and/or coordination?
□ Does your child have poor strength and endurance?
□ Did your child have an injury that is inhibiting his/her motor function?
